Don't go away, my dear Winter is a beautiful piece. The viewer is drawn immediately to the bright, yet somehow pastel-looking colors. The shot looks like an HDR- I'm not sure if it is, but if it's not, wow. (:

Vision: This is a very visually beautiful photograph. The colors are bright, and the ice is very cool and crisp in contrast to the sun (whether setting or rising). The trees tower above the rest of the photo and frame it wonderfully.

Originality: 4 stars. I've seen a lot of winter shots, especially this year, of the ice and the sun. And although they are beautiful, they get old. (:

Technique: This shot is amazing technique-wise. I'm pretty sure that this is an HDR and it's beautiful and well executed. Good job.

Impact: Five stars! This is very impacting and breathtaking. (:
